Age Limit For JEE Advanced Admission 2025

General Category (General, OBC-NCL, EWS):

Your date of birth should be on or after 1 October 2000.

That means, if you are born before 1 October 2000, then you are not eligible for this exam.

Reserved Category (SC/ST and PWD):

These categories get a relaxation of 5 years.

Therefore, the date of birth for candidates of these categories should be on or after 1 October 1995.

For example:

If you are from SC/ST category and your DOB is 5th October 1995, then you are eligible.

If you are from SC/ST category and your DOB is 5th October 1995, then you are eligible.

Selection Process For JEE Advanced Admission 2025

Stage 1: JEE Advanced exam

This exam consists of two papers:

Paper 1
Paper 2
It is mandatory to give both the papers.
The questions are Multiple Choice (MCQ), Integer type and Matching type.

Stage 2: Result

After giving the exam, the result of JEE Advanced is released, in which your All India Rank (AIR) is given.

Stage 3: JOSAA Counselling

After the result, counselling is done by JOSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).

In this you can choose seats in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs according to your rank.

Step 4: Document Verification and College Reporting

You have to get the documents like admit card, mark sheet, category certificate, etc., verified.
